TrueBlue's I-9 Documentation Program to be Recognized by Immigration and Customs Enforcement with IMAGE Partnership

TACOMA, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

TrueBlue (NYSE: TBI) has been recognized for its best practices by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and named a partner in ICE's IMAGE program. TrueBlue and its brands: Labor Ready, Spartan Staffing, PMI, CLP Resources, PlaneTechs, and TLC Drivers, is the first nationwide blue-collar staffing company to be included in the partnership.

By participating in the IMAGE program, companies agree to follow guidelines designed to reduce unauthorized employment and the use of fraudulent identity documents. IMAGE partners receive education and training on proper hiring procedures, and set the standard for hiring best practices.

"We're very proud to be an IMAGE partner and to be recognized for our efforts to ensure that all our temporary workers are properly documented," said TrueBlue CEO Steve Cooper. "The extensive training and best practices implemented by TrueBlue show that we are serious about complying with I-9 filing requirements and making sure we provide our customers with a ready work force eligible to work in the United States."

To become a partner, TrueBlue passed a series of rigorous interviews and audits by ICE representatives. The company also launched an innovative I-9 training program this spring.

The partnership agreement was signed Sept. 9, 2008 at the grand opening of ICE's new headquarters in Crystal City, Virginia.
