Patrick Beharelle , , , CEO, Director

Patrick Beharelle has served as a Director and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since September 2018. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Beharelle has served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2015 to 2018, leading the company’s operational, business development, technology and human resource functions as well its digital transformation strategies. He joined the Company in 2014 following the acquisition of PeopleScout and Staff Management, which he led as CEO from 2009 to 2014, delivering a solid track record of organic growth. Mr. Beharelle has spent over 22 years in the staffing, recruitment process outsourcing and consulting industries and was recently inducted into the Staffing Industry Analysts’ Hall of Fame.

James E. Defebaugh , , , Executive Vice President, General Counsel

James E. Defebaugh has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Company since 2006, after serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Company since joining the Company in 2005. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Defebaugh held various positions with Kmart Holding Corporation, including Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer (2004-2005), Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer (2002-2004), Vice President and Corporate Secretary (2001-2002), and Vice President, Legal (2001). Mr. Defebaugh also served as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Sears Holdings Corporation in 2005.

Derrek L. Gafford , , , Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Derrek L. Gafford has served as the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2006, after serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2005 and as the Company's Vice President of Finance and Accounting beginning in 2004. Mr. Gafford is a Certified Public Accountant and first joined the Company in 2002 serving as Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Gafford served as Chief Financial Officer for Metropolitan Markets, a grocery retailer, from 2001 to 2002, and held a variety of finance positions with Albertsons and Deloitte & Touche.

Jeff Dirks , , , SVP, Chief Technology & Information Officer

Jeff Dirks, high-tech industry veteran and innovator, was named TrueBlue’s Chief Information and Technology Officer in June 2019 to oversee the company’s digital transformation. Jeff has spent nearly three decades developing cutting-edge technology solutions that help businesses and people. He is leading the expansion of TrueBlue’s AI-powered technologies that are bringing new possibilities to staffing and recruitment process outsourcing, including its popular JobStack and Affinix offerings.

Dirks is a military veteran and a graduate of the University of Washington with a double major in computer science and Germanic language and literature. He is an entrepreneur who spearheaded two successful tech startups before joining TrueBlue in 2018. In his role, Jeff oversees business product software and cloud R&D, analytics and data science, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure services and cloud platform services (AWS) for TrueBlue’s global technology organization.

Maggie Lower , , , SVP, Chief Marketing Officer

Maggie Lower joined TrueBlue in 2018 as the company’s first chief marketing officer. She is a business leader who combines the art and science of marketing to drive exceptional results. Throughout her career, she has built innovative go-to-market models and leveraged transformational opportunities to deliver better customer experiences, robust sales pipelines, and a more efficient delivery of services. She has extensive experience in brand awareness, market positioning, lead-generation, and managing large, complex client relationships. Previously, she was responsible for the strategic development and execution of global marketing for Alight Solutions (and Aon Hewitt, its predecessor brand).

Since joining TrueBlue, Maggie has focused on transforming the company’s digital offerings, brand marketing, innovation, and communications strategies. She is helping TrueBlue traverse a new frontier for the industry, transforming not only how job candidates and employers connect but the experiences they have in the process.

Randy Rothschiller , , , SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer

Randy Rothschiller, of TrueBlue’s global Human Resources organization, leads the strategies to attract, develop, reward, and retain the people needed to strengthen the company’s capabilities. Randy joined TrueBlue in 2016 to fuel the company’s growth plans with extensive experience in job architecture, talent acquisition strategies, identifying and preparing future leaders, and implementing solutions-focused accountability. He is focused on strengthening the culture and driving results through employee engagement, increasing new hire success and retention, maximizing and improving Human Resources technologies and daily HR operations, and measuring the employee lifecycle.

Mr. Rothschiller’s career spans 30-plus years, focused on Operations and Human Resources. He has been in HR leadership roles for more than 20 years with organizations including Michaels, Garden Ridge, JoAnn, and Savers, working to deliver strategies that align the employee experience with the core objectives of each organization’s mission.

Taryn Owen , , , President, PeopleScout

In her role as President, PeopleScout, Ms. Owen leads PeopleScout's global strategic vision, operations and business development strategy. She also leads PeopleScout's best-in-class customer service and works to ensure consistent client retention. Prior to this role, Ms. Owen was Senior Vice President of Global Operations at PeopleScout, where she was responsible for developing client relationships, maintaining service delivery excellence and implementing recruitment solutions globally. Ms. Owen has an extensive background in operational and process excellence, including more than 17 years of talent acquisition and RPO experience. Prior to joining PeopleScout, Ms. Owen was an Operations Director at SourceRight Solutions where she managed global RPO engagements. Ms. Owen is on the HRO Today Association Board of Advisors. She is also a volunteer and avid supporter of the Special Olympics.

Carl Schweihs , , , President, PeopleManagement

Carl Schweihs is President of PeopleManagement. He provides strategic direction for this key division of TrueBlue that specializes in on-site and contingent workforce management for manufacturing, fulfillment and distribution facilities. His leadership of its three distinct staffing segments – Centerline Drivers, SIMOS Insourcing Solutions and Staff Management | SMX – helps change lives and build stronger businesses by connecting great talent with great companies.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Schweihs previously served as TrueBlue’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts - delivering the full spectrum of TrueBlue’s solutions to produce higher ROI for the world’s largest brands. Prior to this, he helped to drive strong financial and operational performance at TrueBlue, Seaton and Grant Thornton in a variety of financial leadership roles.
